The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has arrested Saokot Molla, a former Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) and the prime suspect in the Bhangar bomb blast case in West Bengal. Molla was apprehended in South 24 Parganas district after being on the run. The blast, which occurred during the manufacturing of a crude bomb, resulted in the death of one bomb maker and injuries to others. Investigations revealed that Molla was a key conspirator, directing others in the bomb-making process and instructing them to tamper with the explosion scene. His arrest follows that of Sainur Molla, another suspect who transported the deceased and injured individuals in his vehicle after the blast. The NIA is examining the roles of the arrested individuals to uncover any further conspiracies linked to the incident, which has drawn attention from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, prompting the NIA's involvement in the case.
