Radisson Hotel Group is set to significantly expand its footprint in India, with plans to increase its portfolio to 160 operational hotels and 19,500 keys by December 2026. Currently, the group operates 142 hotels and has 84 more under development, indicating a robust pipeline for future growth. Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for South Asia, stated that the group is on track to achieve its ambitious goal of 500 hotels in India by 2030. Despite facing challenges from the ongoing West Asia crisis, particularly in major metropolitan areas, demand remains strong in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Notably, a 27-28% decline in revenue per available room (RevPAR) was observed in some metro cities, but the overall domestic demand is providing a buffer against these fluctuations. The performance in April will be crucial for evaluating the recovery trajectory.
