During a rally in Tehatta, Nadia district, Union Home Minister Amit Shah asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has already secured 110 seats in the first phase of the West Bengal assembly elections conducted on April 23. He emphasized that a BJP government would eliminate the prevailing 'goonda raj' and 'syndicate raj' in the state, urging voters to participate without fear due to adequate arrangements by the Election Commission. Shah also highlighted plans to address illegal immigration and proposed the formation of a special squad to combat cattle smuggling, particularly in Nadia.
