Following two tragic incidents involving water tankers in Pune, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) has intensified enforcement measures against heavy vehicles. In just three days, 269 heavy vehicles were penalized for violations including lack of valid permits and improper documentation. The crackdown was initiated after the deaths of 22-year-old engineer Gracia Daniel Issa and 19-year-old Arij Ejaz Sheikh, who lost their lives in separate accidents linked to reckless driving.
