On Monday night, Ranjeet Chauhan, a 34-year-old property dealer, was fatally attacked in Bilari, Moradabad district, Uttar Pradesh, India. While taking an evening walk around 8:30 PM, he was ambushed by four to five armed assailants near a government school. In a desperate bid to escape, Chauhan ran approximately 200 meters and sought refuge in the home of local resident Mukesh Pal. However, the attackers followed him inside and shot him in the abdomen before striking him with an axe-like weapon, resulting in critical injuries. Witnesses, including Mukesh Pal's family, were present during the assault, which caused panic in the neighborhood. Chauhan was rushed to a community health center but was declared dead upon arrival. Preliminary investigations indicate the attack may be linked to a two-month-old dispute with a local man named Ajay, and police are exploring the possibility of a personal relationship angle. The Superintendent of Police stated that multiple teams are working to apprehend the suspects involved.
