The Gonda cyber cell in Uttar Pradesh has intensified its investigation into an interstate cyber fraud racket, leading to the arrest of nine individuals allegedly involved in scams totaling crores of rupees. The arrested suspects include Aman Singh, Kuldeep Verma, and Rohit Singh, among others. The gang reportedly operated across multiple states, including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Odisha, using mule bank accounts to facilitate financial crimes. Authorities have identified 46 bank accounts associated with the syndicate, with 17 of them linked to 212 complaints filed on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP). During the operation, police seized 347 bank passbooks, 177 ATM cards, and cash, while transactions worth over ₹14.87 crore have been frozen. Gonda Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal stated that the investigation is expanding to uncover the broader network and identify additional accomplices involved in the fraud, with ongoing technical analysis of digital evidence and coordination with cybercrime units in other states.
