Following the release of the 2026 High School and Intermediate examination results by the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UP Board), students and parents have raised concerns over numerous discrepancies in the marksheets. Reports indicate that some students were marked absent despite attending their exams, while others received incorrect subject marks. For instance, Manju Devi, a Class 10 student from Chaudhary Diggaj Singh Inter College in Sirathu, Kaushambi, claimed her marksheet inaccurately reflected marks for Home Science instead of Mathematics. On the first day of operation for the grievance cells, the Prayagraj regional office received 17 complaints, including issues from students in Raebareli and Kannauj. In response, the UP Board has established grievance cells at its regional offices in Meerut, Bareilly, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur, which will operate until May 29. Students are required to submit their internet-generated marksheets along with supporting documents to register their complaints. UP Board officials have assured that they will rectify errors after verifying with official records.
