On April 29, the Delhi government held a stakeholders' meeting to discuss the draft Electric Vehicle (EV) Policy 2026, aiming to create a sustainable mobility ecosystem. Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh highlighted the need for collective input from industry leaders, including major aggregators like Ola Group, Uber, and logistics companies such as Zomato and Flipkart. The consultation focused on various topics, including fleet electrification, last-mile connectivity, and enhancing charging infrastructure. Stakeholders emphasized the importance of affordable financing, battery recycling, and support for gig workers. The minister assured that a comprehensive policy would soon be announced to ensure organized and economically viable operations, alongside efforts to register e-rickshaw drivers for government benefits.
