The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that its online portal for obtaining scanned copies of Class 12 answer books is functioning well, with 1,27,146 applications successfully submitted for 3,87,399 copies shortly after its launch. The board extended the application deadline to May 23 due to earlier technical glitches that affected students' ability to log in and submit payments. Students can expect to access their requested answer books between May 26 and May 29. In a bid to ease the financial burden on students, the CBSE has significantly reduced the fees for obtaining scanned copies from ₹700 to ₹100, while the verification fee has been cut from ₹500 to ₹100. The cost for re-evaluation has also been lowered to ₹25 per question. These adjustments come in response to feedback from students who experienced difficulties with the portal.
