Following these events, Menon spread false rumors about the employee, further complicating the situation. The matter escalated when Nashik police registered an FIR based on another complaint of sexual relations established under false pretenses of marriage. The police are investigating nine cases of alleged harassment at TCS, and eight individuals have been arrested, including Chainani, as the company maintains it had not received any internal complaints despite its stated zero-tolerance policy towards harassment.
