In a disturbing road rage incident in Mohali on the night of May 25, 2026, two individuals, Ansh and Vansh, were arrested after allegedly attacking another driver, Ekampreet Singh, and his friend, Maninder. Singh reported that while driving their Fortuner, they were overtaken by a Thar jeep, which later stopped at traffic lights. The occupants of the Thar accused Singh and his friend of racing, leading to a heated argument. Subsequently, five to six youths exited the Thar and assaulted Singh and Maninder with axes, sickles, and swords. Based on Singh's complaint, the Mohali police initiated an investigation, resulting in the arrest of Ansh and Vansh. The police have successfully recovered the SUV used in the incident and the gandasi (axe) employed during the attack.
