In Lucknow, two men, Shivam Yadav and Sunny Yadav, surrendered to a court in connection with the alleged gang rape of a 19-year-old Delhi University student from Jaunpur. The incident reportedly occurred after the survivor was drugged and confined in a rented room in the Sushant Golf City area. Following her journey from Jaunpur to Delhi, she contacted Shivam Yadav, an acquaintance, who persuaded her to stop in Lucknow. Once there, she alleged that she was offered a drugged beverage, leading to a series of assaults by the two accused and a third unidentified man. The survivor managed to escape and reported the incident upon reaching Delhi, prompting a Zero FIR to be registered. Investigators are currently searching for the third suspect and examining biological evidence collected from the survivor. While the initial medical examination did not reveal external injuries, experts indicate that this does not eliminate the possibility of sexual assault. The case has garnered significant attention as police continue their inquiries.
