BWX Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: BWXT), based in Lynchburg, Virginia, has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Precision Components Group, LLC (PCG), including its subsidiaries Precision Custom Components (PCC) and DC Fabricators (DCF). This strategic acquisition aims to bolster BWXT's manufacturing capabilities in the commercial nuclear sector, responding to increasing demand across North America. The acquisition will add over 500,000 square feet of heavy-manufacturing space and a skilled workforce of more than 400 employees. PCG, which generated approximately $125 million in revenue in 2025, will operate within BWXT’s Commercial Operations segment. The transaction is anticipated to close in the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. BWXT's president and CEO, Rex D. Geveden, emphasized the company's commitment to enhancing production capacity to meet the needs of the commercial nuclear industry. The acquisition will also allow PCG to continue supporting existing contracts with major U.S. Navy programs and other defense contractors, ensuring ongoing collaboration and technical expertise in the nuclear manufacturing field.
