The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension for Class 12 students to apply for scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets until midnight on May 25, 2026. This decision aims to provide students with ample time to utilize this facility. The application fee has been notably reduced to ₹100 per subject, down from the previous fee of ₹700, making it more accessible for students. To apply, students must visit the official CBSE portal, log in, and pay the fee online. The board also indicated that details regarding re-evaluation applications will be released separately. In response to complaints about payment issues and portal reliability, the Union Education Ministry has mandated improvements to the payment gateway and re-evaluation systems. Discussions between Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman have led to the involvement of four public sector banks to enhance the payment infrastructure. Additionally, experts from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur are assisting in resolving technical challenges.
