BJP MLA Mihir Kotecha has written to the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) chief, urging an investigation following a recent safety incident at the Mumbai Metro Line 4 construction site in Mulund West, Maharashtra. A wooden plank fell onto a moving car, although no injuries were reported. Kotecha highlighted that this incident follows a serious parapet wall collapse at the same site, which resulted in one death and injuries to three others. He expressed grave concern over the repeated safety lapses and called for strict action against those responsible. Kotecha also requested the release of the findings from the previous investigation into the parapet wall incident. He has demanded the termination of the contract with Milan Buildtech LLC, stressing that the safety of citizens must be prioritized and that such negligence cannot be tolerated. Kotecha urged the MMRDA to take immediate and transparent action to prevent future occurrences and restore public confidence in the safety of the construction site.
