A land dispute in Unnao district, Uttar Pradesh, has escalated into a conflict between two Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs, Brijesh Rawat and Pankaj Gupta. Rawat alleges that Gupta and his sister, Deepti Gupta, are attempting to encroach on his inherited land, which he claims is approximately six bighas. The land in question is located near Naveen Mandi on the Kanpur-Lucknow highway. Rawat has reported that pillars were erected on the disputed land, leading to a physical altercation when he confronted them. Gupta, however, denies any wrongdoing, asserting that the dispute pertains solely to his sister's property and that he was not present during the incident. Both parties have lodged complaints with the police, which are currently under review. Gupta has called for proper land measurement to clarify ownership and has requested a fair investigation into the matter.
