In a significant case of cyber fraud, two suspects, Osama Rashidi and Ejaz Ahmad, have been arrested for allegedly duping a judge in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India, of ₹23.99 lakh (approximately $29,000 USD) under the pretext of arranging a Haj pilgrimage. The accused, associated with a Lucknow-based travel firm named Al Fahad Tourism Company, collected the money online but failed to make any arrangements and subsequently evaded contact. Following a complaint lodged by the judge, the cyber crime police initiated an investigation, leading to the arrests. The firm was found to operate without a valid license for travel services. A case has been registered against four individuals, including the company's director, Aamir Rashidi, with efforts ongoing to apprehend the remaining suspects and recover the defrauded amount. Authorities have issued warnings to the public to remain vigilant against cyber fraud and to report suspicious activities immediately.
