In a tragic incident in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, a four-year-old boy named Anand lost his life after his father, Triloki, allegedly threw him into the Yamuna River during a domestic dispute on Wednesday evening. The incident occurred in the Basai Mohammadpur police station area, where Triloki reportedly took his son to Shankarpur ghat and pushed him into the river before jumping in himself. Bystanders working in nearby fields noticed the commotion and were able to rescue Triloki, but Anand could not be found immediately. Police were alerted and launched a search operation with local divers, eventually recovering Anand's body downstream. Station House Officer Kripal Singh stated that preliminary investigations suggest the father acted in a fit of rage following a domestic argument. The child's body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and further investigations are ongoing.
