Saubhagya Singh Thakur, the newly appointed chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Textbook Corporation, traveled from Ujjain to Bhopal with a significant convoy, which went viral on social media. Similarly, Rakesh Singh Jadon, appointed as Vice President of the Khadi Village Industries Board, also arrived with a large entourage from Vidisha. Congress state president Jitu Patwari criticized the BJP, questioning why the prime minister's austerity message seems directed only at the public while BJP leaders engage in extravagant displays. He pointed out the financial implications of such actions, including the costs associated with fuel and chartered flights for BJP leaders attending events. In response, state BJP secretary Rajneesh Agarwal stated that efforts are being made to follow the prime minister's instructions and that any shortcomings are being addressed.
