The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension of the deadline for students to apply for scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets for the Class 12 Board examinations. Originally set for May 22, 2026, the new deadline is now May 23, 2026. This change comes after numerous students reported difficulties accessing the application portal, with many encountering messages indicating that the service was unavailable. The board acknowledged these technical issues and aims to provide students with sufficient time to complete their applications. Additionally, the CBSE has scheduled the application period for re-evaluation and verification of marks from May 26 to May 29, 2026. Students are encouraged to first review their evaluated answer sheets before deciding whether to pursue further verification or re-evaluation. CBSE Controller of Examinations Sanyam Bhardwaj noted that minor errors can occur during the evaluation process due to the high volume of approximately 1.25 crore answer scripts evaluated each year, and that marks may change after verification based on the findings of an expert panel.
