A tragic incident occurred near the Strait of Hormuz when the cargo vessel Al Faize Noor Suleimani capsized after a fire on Friday, resulting in the death of Altaf Talab Ker, a sailor from Jam Salaya town in Devbhumi Dwarka, Gujarat, India. Four other Indian crew members sustained burn injuries and are currently receiving medical treatment in Dubai, UAE. The vessel had departed from Dubai for Yemen with a total of 18 sailors, all hailing from Gujarat. The Indian government is actively investigating the cause of the fire and has provided consular access to the survivors. The Indian consulate in Dubai is coordinating assistance for the injured and has reached out to the vessel's owner for further support. The Indian Sailing Vessels Association has also requested help for Ker’s final rites, highlighting the community's concern for the affected sailors.
