In Gujarat, the last day of campaigning for local body elections was marked by vibrant rallies and roadshows, showcasing the political fervor ahead of the polls. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel led a prominent roadshow in eastern Ahmedabad, accompanied by Gujarat BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma. The procession traversed key areas including Shyam Shikhar crossroads and ended near Khodiyar Mandir, drawing support from local leaders and BJP MLAs. Other political parties, including the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), also organized rallies across the state. AAP's state president, Isudan Gadhvi, addressed supporters in Saurashtra, highlighting an incident where one of their candidates was shot at, which they described as an act of desperation. The elections will cover 15 municipal corporations, 84 municipalities, 34 district panchayats, and 260 taluka panchayats, with counting scheduled for April 28.
