On Sunday, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid foundation stones for development projects totaling ₹34.31 crore from Shimla. Among the projects is a new hostel at the College of Horticulture and Forestry in Neri, which can accommodate 107 students and cost ₹3.63 crore. Additionally, an administrative building for the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Tabo, Lahaul & Spiti, was inaugurated, costing ₹1.48 crore. The CM also laid the groundwork for working women’s hostels at two colleges in Hamirpur district, with investments of ₹8.57 crore and ₹8.68 crore respectively. Furthermore, a hostel for 100 women at the university's main campus in Nauni, Solan, will be built at a cost of ₹11.95 crore. Sukhu highlighted the importance of natural farming for the future of Himachal Pradesh, noting that over two lakh farmers are registered in this initiative, with nearly 1.98 lakh already certified.
