On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Thanthania Kali temple in north Kolkata as part of his campaign roadshow, emphasizing West Bengal's tradition of Kali worship. He performed puja and sought blessings from the priest before commencing his roadshow from B.K. Pal Avenue to Khanna Crossing, passing through Shobhabazar and Hatibagan. Modi's roadshow aimed to bolster support for BJP candidates from seven Assembly constituencies: Kashipur-Belgachia, Shyampukur, Beleghata, Maniktala, Chowringhee, Entally, and Jorasanko. Large crowds gathered to witness the event, with supporters showering flower petals and cheering for the Prime Minister.
