According to an exit poll conducted by Axis My India, the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) is projected to win between 78 to 90 seats in the Kerala assembly elections, while the incumbent Left Democratic Front (LDF) is expected to secure 49 to 62 seats. The exit poll highlights a significant shift in voter sentiment, as the UDF aims for a comeback after facing setbacks in the previous assembly election. Interestingly, despite the predicted loss for the LDF, 33% of respondents expressed a desire for the current Chief Minister, Pinarayi Vijayan of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), to remain in office. Following him, Congress leader VD Satheesan received 21% support, while Ramesh Chennithala garnered 8% of the preferences for the chief ministerial position. The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is not expected to win any seats, as indicated by the poll results. The final vote counting is scheduled for May 4.
