Students from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) are voicing their frustrations over the physics re-evaluation process, which has become a focal point of complaints. Many students have reported issues such as missing marks for complete answers, strict grading, and even mismatches in their answer sheets. For instance, one student noted that they received a score of 18 in physics despite scoring above 80 in other subjects, with complete answers marked as zero. The ongoing scrutiny of the board's On-Screen Marking (OSM) system has further fueled these concerns. CBSE counsellor Vishal Mehta highlighted the timing of these complaints, as students are rushing to complete admission formalities for undergraduate programs. In addition to physics, complaints are also surfacing in mathematics and chemistry, with students alleging that their intermediate steps and correct answers were not adequately credited. The board has opened a re-evaluation window and is processing requests, reiterating its commitment to fair evaluation despite the rising discontent among students.
