Pradeep Gupta, the founder of Axis My India, announced that the organization will not release exit poll results for the West Bengal elections due to a significant lack of voter engagement. In an interview with NDTV, Gupta explained that during their surveys, approximately 60-70% of voters chose not to disclose their voting preferences, leading to an unrepresentative sample. As a result, Gupta stated that it would be inappropriate to make predictions based on such limited data. Despite plans to attempt gathering responses again, Axis My India ultimately decided against releasing any projections. Other prominent pollsters have provided conflicting forecasts, with some indicating a potential victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), while others suggest that the Trinamool Congress (TMC), led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, may continue its 15-year rule in the state.
