Sky TV has announced a significant change to its channel lineup, merging Sky Cinema Animation with Sky Cinema Family effective April 30. This move aims to simplify the viewing experience by consolidating family-friendly films into one channel, which will now feature popular titles like the Shrek series and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Although this results in one less channel, all content from the Animation channel will still be accessible through Family. Additionally, Sky plans to temporarily reinstate the Animation channel during school holidays, specifically from July 24 to August 30, October 23 to November 1, and December 1 to January 5. In a bid to expand its services, Sky is also launching smart home security products, including a Smart Doorbell and Chime, available for £5 a month with a £15 upfront fee. The Smart Home Bundle, which includes additional features, is offered at £8 per month with a £20 upfront cost. Paul Sweeney, Managing Director of Sky Smart Home, emphasized the company’s commitment to making smart technology accessible and user-friendly.
