The Gurugram district police have booked four men for illegally parking their vehicles in public areas, causing traffic disruptions near the Sikanderpur and Phase-II metro stations. During an inspection on Wednesday evening, authorities discovered several vehicles blocking the roads. One incident involved an SUV parked outside the Sikanderpur metro station at 7:45 PM, with the driver, a resident of Aligarh living in Sector 33, facing charges for creating a public nuisance. Another SUV was found parked at 9:05 PM near the Phase-II metro station, leading to an FIR against the driver under section 285 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), which addresses obstruction in public ways. Additionally, two other individuals were booked under similar circumstances. This action follows a previous effort in April when police removed approximately 180 stalled vehicles from the Delhi-Gurugram expressway (NH 48) to clear the roadway of obstructions caused by breakdowns and accidents.
