Punjab police have successfully busted a cross-border drug and arms smuggling module, arresting three suspects identified as Sukhwinder Singh, Sola Singh, and Karan Singh, all residents of Sahanke village in Ferozepur district, Punjab, India. The operation resulted in the seizure of 915 grams of ICE (methamphetamine) and five firearms, including two 9MM Glock pistols and three .30-bore pistols. Police officials indicated that the suspects were in contact with smugglers based in Pakistan through social media and were receiving shipments via drones. The police acted on secret information, leading to the arrests during a targeted operation. The investigation revealed that the contraband was dropped in forested areas of the Ferozepur sector, where the suspects retrieved the items. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and the Arms Act, with further inquiries underway to dismantle the entire smuggling network.
