In the early hours of Thursday, a head-on collision between two trucks on the Ferozepur-Fazilka road near Khalchian village in Ferozepur district, Punjab, India, resulted in the tragic death of one driver. The incident occurred around 3:30 am when a trailer carrying sanitary goods from Rajasthan collided with another truck. Eyewitnesses reported that the impact ignited a fire that rapidly engulfed both vehicles. The driver of the Fazilka-bound truck was trapped inside the cabin and perished on the spot due to the flames. The other driver, identified as 47-year-old Shamsher, sustained serious injuries and was rescued by locals before being rushed to a nearby hospital. Firefighters were alerted at 4:10 am, deploying five fire engines to control the blaze, which completely destroyed both trucks. Authorities are conducting an investigation into the accident.
