The foreign ministry reported that a Level 4 travel alert will be enforced for Ituri Province, effective from 2 pm on Friday. This decision adds Ituri to the existing no-travel zones of North Kivu and South Kivu, raising the total to three provinces. South Korean citizens traveling to these areas without special passport-use authorization could face penalties under the country's passport law. Additionally, a Level 3 alert has been issued, advising citizens to evacuate areas within 50 kilometers of the Central African Republic border, as well as seven other provinces, including Bas-Uele and Haut-Uele. The Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency has also designated the DRC, Uganda, and South Sudan as priority quarantine management countries for Ebola.
