Mohamed Alabbar, the Founder and Managing Director of Emaar Properties, one of the largest property developers globally, praised the work ethic of Indian professionals during the Make it in the Emirates Summit in Abu Dhabi. He stated, "hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard," emphasizing that Indians are highly responsive, even at unconventional hours. Alabbar, who founded Emaar in 1997, noted the company's significant projects, including the Burj Khalifa, and its workforce of over 8,000 employees, primarily in the Middle East. He expressed strong confidence in India's future, stating, "India is mind-blowing" and plans to invite his board to India for their next meeting to explore its potential. Additionally, Alabbar discussed the ongoing challenges in the Middle East, particularly the US-Iran conflict, and highlighted the resilience of businesses in the region, which have learned from past crises like the 2008 financial collapse and the COVID-19 pandemic. He credited the UAE's leadership for the country's ability to navigate these challenges successfully.
