On Tuesday morning, the partially burnt body of an unidentified woman, estimated to be in her mid-thirties, was discovered in an open ground in the Padma Nagar area of Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, India. Local residents alerted the police around 8 am after spotting the remains in the densely populated Pappu Chawl locality, known for its active power loom units. The police reported that the body was severely burnt below the waist and have registered the case as an accidental death. Investigators suspect that the woman may have been murdered at another location before her body was dumped and set on fire. Efforts are underway to identify the victim by checking missing person reports from Bhiwandi and nearby regions. Police are also examining CCTV footage from the vicinity to trace the suspect and understand the motive behind the crime. Senior police inspector Krishna Kharade stated that the body has been sent for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact circumstances surrounding the death.
