On May 19, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced reforms to strengthen its leadership and enhance examination oversight mechanisms, following the recommendations of the High-Level Expert Committee established by the Government of India. The reforms include the appointment of four senior officers, with two at the Joint Secretary level designated as Additional Director Generals and two at the Director level. Additionally, the NTA has opened applications for three specialist leadership roles: Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Chief Finance Officer (CFO), and General Manager for Human Resources (GM-HR). The CTO will lead the digital examination ecosystem and implement AI-driven integrity controls, while the CFO will manage examination-wise accounting and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The GM-HR will focus on modernizing HR systems and enhancing employee engagement. Interested candidates have 15 days to apply through the NTA's official website. These measures aim to improve the integrity, transparency, and operational excellence of high-stakes examinations conducted by the NTA, which serve over one crore candidates annually.
