Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sanctioned ₹130 crore (approximately $15.6 million USD) from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to bolster disaster management efforts across the state. Each district will receive ₹10 crore, which includes allocations for relief operations (₹3 crore), recovery and reconstruction activities (₹5 crore), and disaster preparedness (₹2 crore). Additionally, ₹26 crore (approximately $3.1 million USD) has been approved for infrastructure reconstruction in the financial year 2026-27, with each District Magistrate set to receive ₹2 crore for their respective projects. The Chief Minister also inaugurated a new hospital at Kedarnath Temple aimed at improving healthcare for both pilgrims and local residents. This facility will enhance medical services in the challenging Himalayan terrain. The state government is committed to ensuring a safe and organized Kedarnath Yatra, with adequate medical arrangements along the route. Furthermore, around 6.1 million Ayushman cards have been issued, allowing numerous patients to access free treatment under the Ayushman scheme.
