These companies have advised customers to be cautious when sharing their DAC, which is essential for confirming successful LPG cylinder deliveries. HPCL specifically highlighted that genuine messages will come from the official sender name 'VM-HPGASc' and contain a 4-digit OTP. They urged consumers to be wary of any messages that appear urgent, unfamiliar, or deviate from the official format. The companies reiterated that their representatives will never request OTPs through phone calls or suspicious links. Customers are encouraged to share their DAC only after the cylinder has been delivered, ensuring a safer delivery experience. Additionally, consumers are advised to utilize digital platforms for booking LPG refills, such as the IndianOil ONE App or Bharat Bill Payment System, to further enhance their security.
