Prateek Yadav, the son of Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party, passed away at the age of 38 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He was rushed to the hospital early Wednesday morning after being reported unwell. According to Dr. GP Gupta, director of Lucknow Civil Hospital, Prateek was declared dead shortly after arrival at 5:55 am. Prateek, who was the half-brother of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, chose to distance himself from the political sphere despite coming from a prominent political family. He was married to Aparna Yadav, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, but later sought a divorce. Educated at Leeds University in the United Kingdom, Prateek was involved in the real estate and fitness industries, owning a gym named The Fitness Planet in Lucknow. He was also passionate about animal welfare, actively working to rescue and care for stray animals through his organization, ‘Jeev Ashray.’
