The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has intensified measures against unauthorized constructions on land earmarked for the Noida International Airport expansion. An FIR has been registered against four individuals—Imran, Samshu, Nasir, and Mubarak—from Nangla Jahanu village for allegedly constructing on plot number 235 in Mukimpur Shiwara, located approximately 4 kilometers from the airport site. Sanjay Kumar Singh, the Station House Officer of Jewar police station, confirmed that the case is filed under Sections 223 and 329(3) of the BNS. The CEO of YEIDA, RK Singh, emphasized the need for stringent actions, including demolitions and FIRs against illegal structures. The land has been designated for the airport's third phase of development, with prior notifications issued on April 11, 2025, prohibiting any construction or land transactions. The state government has already acquired 1,334 hectares and 1,365 hectares in the first two phases at rates of ₹2,100 and ₹3,100 per square meter, respectively. Plans are in place to acquire 2,053 hectares in subsequent phases at ₹4,300 per square meter. Following the project's inauguration on March 28, demand for residential plots has surged, with a recent scheme offering 973 plots and receiving nearly 38,000 applications.
