On April 30, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in New Delhi when Rajkumar, a 25-year-old food delivery agent from Godda district, Jharkhand, fell to his death from the Dabri flyover after a car allegedly collided with his scooter. The police received a call at 7:35 am regarding the accident, and upon arrival, they found Rajkumar's damaged scooter and a car on the flyover. Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital, he was declared dead shortly after. According to the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for West Delhi, Darade Sharad Bhaskar, preliminary investigations suggest that Rajkumar lost control of his scooter due to the impact. The car's driver, who fled the scene, is currently being sought by the authorities. A case has been registered under Sections 125 A and 106 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertain to endangering life and causing death by negligence. Rajkumar had recently relocated to Delhi for work and was living with his roommate Mahavir in Sagarpur. Mahavir recounted their journey from working as security guards in Chennai and Bengaluru to moving to Delhi just a week ago for better opportunities. Rajkumar's father, a farmer in their native village, is now awaiting the return of his son's body.
