Embassy Developments has received a significant legal victory as the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) has overturned a previous insolvency order issued by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in New Delhi. The NCLAT's decision, which quashed the December 9, 2025 order, effectively closes the corporate insolvency resolution process (CIRP) that had been initiated against the company. Jitu Virwani, Chairman of Embassy Developments, emphasized that the issue stemmed from a misinterpretation of a letter from Indiabulls Real Estate regarding a past affiliate's equity funding, which was incorrectly viewed as a corporate guarantee. The company reported robust operational performance with pre-sales reaching βΉ4,600 crore during the fiscal year 2025-26, including record quarterly bookings in the fourth quarter. Following the NCLAT ruling, Embassy Developments confirmed that its operations and projects remain unaffected, providing clarity after months of uncertainty regarding its legal standing.
