He noted that a BRICS member state is hindering consensus on a joint declaration by demanding a condemnation of Iran, which he implied is the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Gharibabadi emphasized the importance of developing nations like India in promoting peace and stability, urging them to prevent the resumption of war. He also announced that Iran will implement fees for vessels navigating the Strait of Hormuz, clarifying that these are service charges rather than tolls. The Iranian minister highlighted the negative global repercussions of the conflict and criticized the notion that it is solely a war involving Iran, Israel, and the US. He called for a united front among BRICS nations to avoid signaling division within the bloc.
