Supporters of the Tamil Nadu-based Tamilaga Valvurimai Katchi (TVK) party were left in disbelief and disappointment on Thursday as uncertainty loomed over the swearing-in of their president, Vijay, as chief minister. Many supporters traveled to Chennai, anticipating a ceremony at Nehru Stadium, only to find the gates closed due to delays in government formation. The governor's request for proof of majority support has left supporters emotional, with some expressing their frustration openly. A supporter from Coimbatore lamented the situation, stating it was their first opportunity to witness the event in person. Despite the setback, many TVK cadres remain hopeful that Vijay will eventually form the government, asserting that the people of Tamil Nadu have given a clear mandate. The party's core team has urged patience, indicating that their response will depend on the governor's next actions and the support from other parties. MLA CTR Nirmal Kumar emphasized that, according to law, the governor should invite the single largest party, which is TVK, to form the government.
