This comment came a day after Chadha, a Rajya Sabha MP from Punjab, accused AAP of corruption and announced his departure along with six other AAP MPs, which significantly diminishes AAP's representation in the Rajya Sabha. Chadha, who had dedicated 15 years to AAP, expressed his disillusionment with the party's current state, stating it is no longer committed to honest politics. Meanwhile, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal condemned the move, claiming that the BJP has betrayed the people of Punjab. The rift between Chadha and AAP had been evident following his removal as deputy leader in the Rajya Sabha earlier this month, leading to a public confrontation of their differences.
