Bart Pigram, a local Yawuru man, criticized these representations for lacking authenticity and integrity. Experts, including Tama Leaver from Curtin University, stress the importance of better regulation to combat misinformation and protect Indigenous culture. They argue that AI-generated content can distort historical narratives, as seen in videos depicting Indigenous history inaccurately. The WA Department of Biodiversity Conservation and Attractions advises visitors to consult official sources for accurate information.
