A woman had a miraculous escape at Patas railway station in Daund taluka, Pune district, India, when she lay flat between the tracks as a goods train passed over her. The incident, which was captured on video and went viral, occurred when the woman attempted to cross the tracks just as the train began to move. Eyewitnesses reported that she appeared trapped, while two companions managed to jump to safety moments before the train's arrival. After the train passed, the woman stood up unharmed, much to the relief of onlookers. She expressed concern over the dangers posed by such incidents and called for the construction of a foot overbridge or changes to the train schedules to enhance safety. In response, Pune railway division spokesperson Hemant Kumar Behera reiterated the importance of adhering to safety regulations and mentioned that work on extending the foot overbridge is underway to provide safer access for passengers.
