Banerjee, a prominent leader of the Trinamool Congress, is required to report to the ED office at the Central Government Office (CGO) Complex in Salt Lake on June 15. The officials waited outside his home for over 15 minutes to deliver the summons personally. This summons comes amid a significant internal crisis within the Trinamool Congress, as 58 party MLAs are reportedly rebelling against the leadership. Additionally, Banerjee has been summoned by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for questioning on June 8 regarding alleged mismatches in signatures of Trinamool legislators.
