The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has launched a significant operation in connection with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) ghee adulteration case, conducting searches at 15 locations across states including Delhi, Mumbai, and Dehradun. The operation targeted the residences and offices of several individuals linked to the case, resulting in the seizure of ₹60 lakh in cash. Investigators uncovered that the Proceeds of Crime (PoC) from the sale of adulterated ghee were funneled into properties valued at over ₹45 crore. The searches also included dairy plants associated with the accused, revealing a sophisticated network of legal entities used to mask illicit financial activities. The ED's investigation stems from an FIR filed against A.R. Dairy Food Pvt. Ltd. and others, accusing them of colluding with TTD officials to supply adulterated ghee, thereby causing significant financial loss to the organization.
