The Valley Stream Central High School District has announced the appointment of Fabian Jara as Principal and Shelida Lee as Assistant Principal of Memorial Junior High School, effective July 1. Jara, who has dedicated his entire career to the district, previously served as Assistant Principal at Valley Stream North High School and has extensive experience as a Spanish teacher and school leader. He holds a Master of Science in Secondary Education from St. John's University. Lee has been with the district for six years, currently working as an Administrative Intern at Memorial, where she has contributed to various initiatives, including the school's redesignation as a National School to Watch. She is pursuing an educational leadership certificate from LIU Post and holds multiple degrees from St. John's University. The district's Superintendent, Dr. Wayne Loper, expressed confidence in their leadership abilities, emphasizing their dedication to students and families.
