On Thursday, at least six individuals were injured during a series of violent incidents in Ukhrul and Kamjong districts of Manipur, India. The attacks were reportedly carried out by armed militants suspected to belong to the Kuki community, targeting Tangkhul Naga villages along the Indo-Myanmar border. In Ukhrul district, a villager named Chipemshang Ruiva (33) sustained multiple bullet injuries during the gunfire, while five other villagers were injured in related incidents. The violence included the vandalism and arson of approximately 15 houses across three villages, namely Namlee, Wanglee, and Choro, located near border pillars 89 to 95. The police reported that the first attack occurred around 1 PM in Ukhrul, followed by another incident in Kamjong at 3:30 AM the same day. The local police, along with the 6th Manipur Rifles, quickly intervened to manage the situation and ensure the injured were transported to the Ukhrul district hospital.
